Keaton the Kindergartener

Keaton finally gets to go to kindergarten!! YEA! He is so excited. He just told me he knows a kid who didn't go to preschool. I let him know that preschool is optional. He got very irritated and said"What? You put me in preschool for two years! I could have been in second grade by now!" He is such a cutie! When I was laying out his clothes I asked him if he felt like wearing long pants or shorts. He answered "What do the popular kids wear?" I can't believe he even knows the word popular!

First Day of School

Kaydee and Anders had their first day of school!! ( Keaton starts next week) They were so excited. They had a great summer but they were anxious to get back into the swing of things.

Annual Back -to- School Fashion Show

Anders turns nine!!!

Another month, another birthday. . . The six of us have our birthdays one per month for six consecutive months ( July-Dec.) August is Anders' month! He got a metal detector because he likes to explore and dig in the dirt. He also got some lego and bakugan.

This is his four layer cake, just seconds before Freddy knocked the cooler and a can of pepsi on top of it. It was funny. It ended up being chocolate-vanilla-pepsi cake!

He was so grateful for everything he got. Anders is such a great kid. He has a big heart and he is very protective and considerate of his siblings. He does great in school and he is a friend to everyone. We love you, buddy.

Happy Birthday Kyle!!!

On Wednesday we celebrated Kyle's birthday. He didn't want us to make a big deal out of his birthday but the kids and I had fun with him! I made him a giant cupcake with his favorite frosting. It turned out pretty cute. We had a great party. I love you, honey! You're the BEST!

Vacation in Kansas!

We have been on vacation for a week and a half. It was so much fun. We stayed in Kansas with the family. The kids were in seventh heaven roaming around with their cousins. Kyle and I enjoyed visiting and relaxing.

We all went to Omaha for a couple of days. We went to a water park and to the zoo.

The kids loved the polar bear.

The boys enjoying a train ride around the zoo!

Another highlight of the trip was in Florence, Nebraska. We went to the Mormon Trail Center- Winter Quarters. It was a neat experience and the kids listened closely to the stories of the pioneers at the visitors center.

It was sad to walk around the cemetery and see the headstones of pioneers who were not able to complete the journey. There is a beautiful temple right next to the cemetery now. It is a peaceful place. We were glad we were able to go.

All done with preschool!

Keaton graduated from preschool!! His class did a little program on the playground. He is so excited to begin kindergarten.
