Kaydee's party

Kaydee turned eleven! Wow. She is growing up so fast. She is such a bright, fun girl. We enjoy her so much. Kaydee and I love to watch Cake Boss on TLC and she is interested in baking. She got this cake bakery. It came with mixes, fondants, turntable, candy embellishments, etc. She loved it.

She had a bunch of friends over to celebrate. They decorated cupcakes for halloween.

These girls are very talented!

Pumpkin Patch

Fall wouldn't be complete without a trip to the pumpkin patch. It was such a beautiful warm day.

Grandpa was a big help, cutting and marking the pumpkins.

Keaton found this one right away and he knew it was the one. He plopped it on the trailer and sat there next to it.

Run, kids, Run!!

Kaydee , Anders, and Keaton have been running the cross country races for elementary kids. The courses are about one mile long and they have all had lots of hills. It has been so much fun.

Anders takes first place again! He is such an athlete!

Kaydee did awesome, improving her time each race.

Even little Keaton pushed himself across that finish line!

Dad promised them a giant pepsi if they worked hard and had fun. Look how cute they are with their little red faces. :)

Flag Football

Anders had a great season of flag football. He is so passionate about all of his sports, especially football. He did a great job. He has a lot of fans. :)

Happy Birthday Keaton!!

Keaton turned six on Thursday!! Yeah! It was such a busy day. He had a big friend party and then we had some family and friends over for dinner and cake in the evening. He wanted the motobike so bad. Its just a peddle bike but it looks like a motorcycle. I gave it to him right when he woke up and then I ended up chasing him around on it all morning, making sure he could get use to it. He did great. It was pretty scary, though. He kept trying all sorts of tricks on it!

We love you, Keat!!!

Beautiful new niece!

I am so proud, I have to share the good news. Tara and Kurt welcomed baby Jenna to their family last night. She weighed 4 lbs 12 oz. She came out crying! She is in the NICU as a precaution but she is breathing room air. Tara is recovering well. Jenna is beautiful and sweet. The doctors are shocked by how well she is doing. I will leave posting pics up to the parents. That is their privilege!!

One last summer hoorah!

We don't go camping much but when we do the kids always have a blast. We decided fall is fast approaching so we better get a trip in.

I think the kids favorite part was playing with fire and sharp sticks. They love s'mores!

There was even some water nearby to play in. The kids got soaking wet.

Cross Country Meet

We heard that the high school cross country meet was open to elementary and middle school students so we took Kaydee and Anders to enter. They did so well!! They were way excited about the whole thing. We were so proud of them.

Keaton and Alyssa watched them run then they enjoyed the park!

Keaton the Kindergartener

Keaton finally gets to go to kindergarten!! YEA! He is so excited. He just told me he knows a kid who didn't go to preschool. I let him know that preschool is optional. He got very irritated and said"What? You put me in preschool for two years! I could have been in second grade by now!" He is such a cutie! When I was laying out his clothes I asked him if he felt like wearing long pants or shorts. He answered "What do the popular kids wear?" I can't believe he even knows the word popular!

First Day of School

Kaydee and Anders had their first day of school!! ( Keaton starts next week) They were so excited. They had a great summer but they were anxious to get back into the swing of things.

Annual Back -to- School Fashion Show

Anders turns nine!!!

Another month, another birthday. . . The six of us have our birthdays one per month for six consecutive months ( July-Dec.) August is Anders' month! He got a metal detector because he likes to explore and dig in the dirt. He also got some lego and bakugan.

This is his four layer cake, just seconds before Freddy knocked the cooler and a can of pepsi on top of it. It was funny. It ended up being chocolate-vanilla-pepsi cake!

He was so grateful for everything he got. Anders is such a great kid. He has a big heart and he is very protective and considerate of his siblings. He does great in school and he is a friend to everyone. We love you, buddy.

Happy Birthday Kyle!!!

On Wednesday we celebrated Kyle's birthday. He didn't want us to make a big deal out of his birthday but the kids and I had fun with him! I made him a giant cupcake with his favorite frosting. It turned out pretty cute. We had a great party. I love you, honey! You're the BEST!

Vacation in Kansas!

We have been on vacation for a week and a half. It was so much fun. We stayed in Kansas with the family. The kids were in seventh heaven roaming around with their cousins. Kyle and I enjoyed visiting and relaxing.

We all went to Omaha for a couple of days. We went to a water park and to the zoo.

The kids loved the polar bear.

The boys enjoying a train ride around the zoo!

Another highlight of the trip was in Florence, Nebraska. We went to the Mormon Trail Center- Winter Quarters. It was a neat experience and the kids listened closely to the stories of the pioneers at the visitors center.

It was sad to walk around the cemetery and see the headstones of pioneers who were not able to complete the journey. There is a beautiful temple right next to the cemetery now. It is a peaceful place. We were glad we were able to go.
