Thanksgiving Pt. Petting Zoo

It has become a tradition on Memorial Day to go to Thanksgiving Point with Nanny Barton and a bunch of the cousins. We always have a great time. (Thanks Grandma!) We have been to the gardens and dinosaur museum so we decided to go to the petting zoo. The kids loved it!
Keaton loved riding the pony.
Oh, I loved this baby cow. He was so clean and cute. Our Salina cows aren't that clean.
Tara was showing off her skills.

Keaton is a natural.

This was so precious. This colt was born just hours before we arrived.

These kids love to play ball!

Summer is here! Keaton is playing T-ball. He is super atheletic. He hits the ball hard and then he slides into every base. He is hilarious to watch.

Anders is playing coach- pitch baseball this year. He is doing great. Ninety percent of his hits are home runs. We are super proud of him . . . and he's mighty proud of himself :)

Kaydee is playing softball with her best friends. She has enjoyed it more than we would have thought! She is a great hitter and she is always practicing.

Alyssa is their number one fan! She loves watching all of them. She is a special little cheerleader.

Only in Salina . . .

I saw the wierdest thing today. Kyle was home from work after lunch and we were chatting. I looked out the window and saw a giant bull run across my front lawn. Sometimes I see strange animals on my street but this was the first bull. Then I saw a cowboy with a lasso and a cowboy with a gun chasing after the cow. Then I saw a cowboy in a truck zoom by. I was so glad my kids were all inside at the time because usually they are scattered around the yard. Later I found out that he escaped from the auction. I heard he trampled some flowerbeds and stuff. Poor cow just didn't want to be at the auction. I don't blame him.

No more tonsils!

Keaton got his tonsils and adenoids taken out a couple of weeks ago. I don't remember him ever having an ear infection or being sick much at all, but after some investigation we found that his very enlarged tonsils and adenoids have been affecting his sleep. He coughs and chokes in the night and never reaches deep sleep. His x-rays showed blocked airways.

He was such a trooper. He handled it all so well. For a few days, he acted like nothing was wrong but it finally hit him. He was miserable and sore for at least a week.
On Thursday, he woke up and told me he was all healed. He suggested that I throw him a 'congratulations Keaton' party. He wanted to invite his friends and family. He wanted to serve chips since he can eat them now. He is so funny!
